Nace
"Yo aquí vine a los límites
en donde no hay que decir nada,
todo se aprende con tiempo y océano,
y volvía la luna,
sus líneas plateadas
y cada vez se rompía la sombra
con un golpe de ola
y cada día en el balcón del mar
abre las alas, nace el fuego
y todo sigue azul como mañana."
Pablo Neruda
It Is Born
"Here I came to the very edge
where nothing at all needs saying,
everything is absorbed through weather and the sea,
and the moon swam back,
its rays all silvered,
and time and again the darkness would be broken
by the crash of a wave,
and every day on the balcony of the sea,
wings open, fire is born,
and everything is blue again like morning."

the boat looks great and so do you guys. thanks for sharing the news of your adventure. didn’t quite understand what the scallops meant – the one’s that the hikers had.
hope you get inspired to record some sounds, too. if you have smart phones, you can download a free app from Tascam that’ll will help you get even better sound.
all well here.
warm regards;
jim
in case you are wondering about the scallops, they are called “Coquilles Saint Jacques” in French. During the Middle Age the hikers and pilgrims going on foot from all over Europe to San Joachim de Compostelle in Spain, were having a shell of Saint Jacques as a sign that they were on a Pilgrimage to Compostelle. This tradition is still very alive today and every year, many people are following the old pilgrim routes either on foot or on bikes, from Northern Europe to Spain
Congrats on the launch of RC Louise and your adventure. Looking forward to keeping tabs on your progress through the cold, damp winter here on the Cape. Pictures are great as is Tracy’s telling of the tale.
