Sailing was fitful as best, trying to coax something out of 5-9kts and feeling grateful for 10-15kts. Summer winds switch from NE to SW and the direction during the day was usually the opposite of where we fancied ourselves going. Add in strong currents and a lot of “light and variable” winds.
